Goal to attract enough people to initiate discussions with the Lord Lyon
Last Clan Watson Chief died in 1823. Society research confirmed the most senior eligible heir to the title of Chief of the Name of Watson. However, he has indicated that he is not intending to petition the Lord Lyon for the title. Therefore, the Society is surveying members to determine whether to initiate discussions with the Lord Lyon regarding appointing a Commander. This is a prerequisite to appointing a new Chief in the event that no eligible heir that wants to petition for the role is found.
