Council of Scottish Clans & Associations

The Clan that comprised the surnames MacDuffie, MacDuffee, MacDuffy, MacFee, MacFie, MacPhee, MacPhie and other accepted cognates has settled the Clan name which is now Clan MacDubhsith. The Clan is without a Chief or a Clan Commander (Ceann-Cath). The search is now on to find a suitable candidate for the vacant post of Commander, who will provide leadership and forward development of the Clan, and drive the process to identify a suitable Chief. The process for settling the Clan name and identifying a Clan Commander is being led by a Council of Presidents representing all current Clan Societies of Clan MacDubhsith. The Lord Lyon King of Arms of Scotland has authorised a Family Convention for May 2026 to be held in Glasgow, Scotland at which nominees for the position of Commander will be considered by the whole Clan for presenting to the Court for final approval.
