Clan MacFie Gathers at Colonsay to honor Last Chief Who Died in 1623

Members visited from Canada, USA, Sweden, Australia, New Zealand and the UK.

Over forty members of Clan MacFie traveled to the island of Colonsay to commemorate the passing of their last chieftain, Malcolm MacPhee in February 1623. A clan piper played before a church service at Oronsay Priory and at the commemorative event at Carraig Mhic a’ Phi. From September 27 to October  3, clan members discussed history of Clan Macfie, DNA and the next steps to elect a Clan Commander.
