Fifteenth century Kilravock Castle is now up for sale
Kilravock Castle has been the home of the Clan Rose Chief since it was first constructed in about 1460. Located between Inverness and Nairn, the castle includes a tower house and several later additions. In 1984, the current chief signed over the estate to a Christian Trust Fund. However, the castle has recently been put up for sale. The current Chief David Rose and his daughters Genevieve Rose and Katharen Quirk are working with a group of community leaders toward acquiring the funds to purchase the castle and reopen it for public use. Clan Rose International has set up a donation fund, the Kilravock Heritage Fund.
