On August 24, 2022, Charles Robert Lund Strachan, Commander of the Honourable Clan Strachan, testified at a Division of Planning and Environmental Appeals (DPEA) of the scottish Government to oppose the Glendye Wind farm. This is a joint venture between wind farm development company Coriolis Energy and Irish state-owned energy supplier ESB, has applied for planning permission for 26 wind turbines on the Fasque and Glendye estate, north of the village of Fettercairn and on the approach to the Cairn O'Mount and Clachnaben.
