Robert Alexander Lindsay, 29th Earl of Crawford and 12th Earl of Balcarres, KT, GCVO, PC, DL (second from right) died on the March 18, 2023, at the age of 96. The Lindsay, Earl of Crawford and Balcarres, was a Conservative politician who was a member of Parliament from 1955 to 1974. He was also Clan Lindsay and from 1975 to 2019 serve as , as Premier Earl of Scotland. After the October 1974 general election, he was made a life peer and joined the House of Lords. His titles passed to his eldest son, Anthony Robert Lindsay, now 30th Earl of Crawford.
