The Society annually gives three scholarship awards in the amount of
Robert Burns Scholarship
Each year, the SAS gives $500 scholarships to college-bound high school seniors or students who are already enrolled in a college. George Cunningham Scottish Essay Award
Essay Award given in memory of George Cunningham. The Society also oversees the selection of a recipient for the Bruce Stewart Memorial Scholarship which is presented by the family of the late beloved member of the SAS.
Applicants must demonstrate an interest in or connection to: Scottish ancestry, history, culture, art or music. We ask that applicants be from the Southern Tier of New York State or the Northern Tier of Pennsylvania.
