The Saint Andrew's Society of Maine offers scholarships to support the study and advancement of Scottish culture and industry. The program is designed to provide financial assistance to individuals who are pursuing academic or practical training in various areas related to Scottish heritage. These areas of study include, but are not limited to, dance, music, language, history, archaeology, kilt-making, and weaving.
The Scholarship application is open to any person regardless of national origin, race, creed, or gender. Preference may be given to members of the Saint Andrews Society of Maine and their children, as well as any applicant who has volunteered to work at the Maine Highland Games and Scottish Festival or performed at an event sponsored by the Society during the previous year. Officers and Directors of the Saint Andrews Society of Maine are not eligible.
